What are the plants and shrubs avaliable for landscape near house that has a clay loam that holds moisture so much so that many plants roots rot...thanks ces

Hello Carl,

Sorry to take so long to respond. We were out of town in this department and are just now catching up on back emails. If we have already responded to this please disregard this email.

Most plants do not like wet feet. The first thing I would recommend is to loosen the soil. Here is a link to a product that will help. http://www.greenwoodnursery.com/page.cfm/20723 Use this product and then begin to add some soil amendments to your soil to build up the organic matter. Once you have good healthy soil you will be able to grow many types of plants not just the ones that might or might not survive in adverse conditions.

Kind Regards Steve Jones,
