English Dogwood

Hello Linda,

One of the common names for your plant besides English dogwood is sweet mock orange. If you need care information, you can search on the net for sweet mock orange.

Sincerely,

Cheryl Jones

=========================

I have a tree that my sister gave me several years ago that she calls an "English Dogwood."

This year it had something very strange happen. For the first time it is covered with small fruit about an inch in diameter that looks like a cross between a cherry and a strawberry! the fruit is juicy when it ripens to a light red. It is somewhat prickly, has no dicernable fragrance, the taste is lightly sweet. I have never seen anything like it, and it sure doesn't look like any dogwood fruit that I've ever seen. Any Ideas?
