Landscaping advice please!

Steve-

I was wondering if you might be able to give me a few suggestions on landscaping. I am living in a newly built house without backyard shade, or boundaries of the neighboring houses yards either. The back property is a fairly large size. I would like to put some shrubs or fencing in the back of the house as a privacy area. I would like it to grow kind of fast, but have a classy feel to it as well. Possibly some trees or flowers. I don't know if it would be possible to have it year round either. I am very confused and overwhelmed with all that is out there. I could use some direction. Thank you very much for your help! I look forward to hearing from you. Emily

Hello Emily

A few suggestions. You may want to have an evergreen border for privacy that grows fast and I can recommend the green giant. Here is a link. http://greenwoodnursery.com/page.cfm/8125 Then depending on where you are and far you want to go are your only limits. You may want to try some flowering cherries that only flower and do not produce fruit. Like the Washington basin cherries we have to offer. About five different varieties listed in the flowering tree section on our site. Some fast growing shade trees would be Imperial Carolina poplars. Then you may want some different types of flowering shrubs and flowers.

Best thing to do maybe to pick a theme color and then work with accenting colors to compliment. I know this may be complicated but with a little planning you can turn your blank pallet into a masterpiece.
